We reviewed the way to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig...for those perfectionists in the group..LOL

I also wanted to point out how sponging the edge of the front white piece with Crushed Curry ink allows you to omit adding that colour of cardstock thus saving money and time! :-) It also softens the look of the card.

Card Club Cards

Had my Hostess Clubs this weekend..and thought I would share with you the cards we made.
The first is a lovely simple elegant one using the Manhatten Flower Embossing Folder. It is so easy and makes the most elegant cards. By just changing out the words or the colour of the inside cardstock this could quickly be a Sympathy, birthday, friend, wedding card.

This is done with Basic Gray cardstock in the inside.
 I'll post the other two over the next two days while I trot off around the globe again.

..wanted to share this picture of the table I set for my future Daughter-in-Law's bridal shower that I hosted on Friday. I was so happy with how it all turned out :-) Felt very 'Martha-ish' LOL

Just want to mention that August is going to be a crazy month for me. My Step-son Paul is getting married in Mexico on the 23rd..so I needed to have that week off work...which means my flying schedule is a bit busy the rest of the month (to say the least!!!) ...so I will be a bit sporadic here on the blog for July. Between now and the 18th...I have 1 trip to New York (Yahooooo) and 2 trips to Sydney Australia...then off to Mexico on the 18th for the week of festivities (help I am still looking for shoes!!!)..home again and then off to Shanghai (YIPPEE!!!). I'll be updating the blog when I can :-). Of course prior to a wedding you also have to go to so many pre-wedding "events" too...if I survive it all I'll be back full blast in August...
New York here I come...hmmm..does Macy's have a July 4th Sale does anyone know????

Box it up!

I saw this little box HERE and had to make one. I used it last night for a wee gift for a special little girl. She loved it...but I think she preferred the chocolate inside :-)

Its a lovely little box. Kinder Surprise eggs fit perfectly too :-)
Again with the new In-Colours. I am addicted already...help me!!! What is very strange is that the new colours are very bright and I normally steer shy of bright colours...and these ones are just calling to me. They are very "Bollywood" So while being bright they are not like the Bold Bright Family of colours...there is warm undertone to all of them. Tomorrow my peeps..tomorrow you may order!!

Now a little heads up. I am going to be away MOST of this month. My eldest step-son is getting married in Mexico in three weeks...this means that I have to squeeze all my flying into the rest of the month...so basically I am MIA for the rest of July. I will try to update you with some eye candy..and I will be having a wedding SPECIAL so watch out for that one too in the coming weeks.

So much to do...so little time!!!

Mojoin' with the new colours again...

I am really enjoying these new colours...especially the crushed Curry. It is a lovely warm fulbodied yellow...hmmm...sounds like a wine...lol
Here is my latest effort based on Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge. I didn't add any little bow or embellishment on the left side as I think it is busy enough with the paper and the dotty ribbon and patterned flower.

Mojo Monday

from last Monday...apparently my Mojo took a while to gear up! LOL. I love the long card and really love the new colours and DSP in this one...they worked so well.

Colour Challenge

There is nothing I like more than a colour challenge.
It gets my Mojo flowing again..and I need that.
I finally have some days off (still lots to do but I think I can squeek in some creative time too)
I saw Kristina's Colour Challenge this evening and thought I would play along. It became a Father's Day Card ...wish I had my dad to send it to but will give it to my Father-in-Law which is good too.

New Toys have arrived!

Today I came home from Sydney and went off to bed for a nap. When I woke up my new toys had arrived from SU! including the new CATALOGUE that demonstrators receive this month with their first business orders.
One thing that stood out first and foremost is that this year has the most beautiful collection of Hostess Sets I have ever seen. You're gonna want to book a party!
The first thing I made was this little quickie card. I was looking at the level 3 Lovely Flowers Bundle (Includes Stamps, Designer Paper and Rub-Ons) and was thinking how lovely the colours in the DSP were...then I turned it over...OH MY! Check out this stunning paper. It screams Summer! The flowers look just like my Cosmo flowers in the garden! The card is really easy, perfect for a jet-lagged stamper.
