I wanted to try the beautiful tutorial for these stars over at SCS this evening and though I might do it in the Colour Challenge colours (Pink and Wasabi). I thought I'd try to make it look like a Poinsettia but I am not sure I achieved that result. I am also not sure I like the pink and Wasabi very much...but that's why I try the challenges...to get me out of my "box".
I got the name stickers from SU for my ink-pads and as I applied them I realized how many colours are still almost virgins in my ink-pad holder!! I really have to use some of them more often...when was the last time you used Handsome Hunter????
So here is the result of tonight's play time. I stamped snowflakes on the Pretty in Pink cs and then was applying points of two-way glue to add sparkle..however when I used the D-Diamonds it stuck to the still wet white craft ink for all over sparkle..and I liked the result so that was OK!
Added PPomegranate ribbon, the star/flower thing and in the middle I attached the Build-a-brad. I have to say I am LOVING those things! Here is a close up...
They add such a nice element and you can make them match anything at all!
I won;t be around for the next few days...guess I have to work sometime...but I am really looking forward to it. I am off to New York tomorrow and have ALL day Thursday there and home on Friday. My friend is the mother of one of our pilots (and gets passes) and so she is coming with me so we will have a blast. The biggest disappointment is that Macy's is closed!!! I wanted to make the sales..oh well...we will probably watch the Parade instead!
Then on Saturday I turn around and fly off to Beijing..can you say...SHOPPING!!! LOL Home again on Monday so hopefully we will catch up then and I'll have some pictures to share! This is an awesome month for me for flying...here are some pics I took in Japan last week
I think I must have the best job in the whole world!!!
Come back next week...thanks for dropping in!
