So I am the flower gardener. It's not that I don't like vegetables, I love them, but I am just not into growing them. However, all is not lost, our friend Johnny, who is a chef, lives in an apartment in down town Vancouver and so as we have a large un-floral area of the garden he has taken over the "Veggie patch" ...we call him Mr. Green. Today he was over and weeded and watered and tended..and before he left he dropped off some of the first goodies to grow this year. Doesn't this look YUMMY! (I grew the flowers). I made the most delicious salad...lettuce, sorrel, mustard greens, basil, arugula (aka Rocket) and I am sure more...the first baby radishes too! The flowers are "Johnny Jump Up's" and they come back (Jump up) year after year.
