If you are in the market for a new collar & leash why not buy from this company, you get free stuff and the dogs in need get a new home faster. Please read...make sure to read the last paragraph...there is a kind person donating to make this an amazing deal! Thanks Sue
PS..if you have a blog and post this notice send me a link and I will draw for a cool stampin' related prize and send it to you at the end of the month! Thanks!
On December 17, 2008, the Humane Society of Durham Region in Canada burned down. Our sincerest condolences go out to the dedicated staff and volunteers on the devastating loss of around 200 animals that they loved and cared for on a daily basis. The greatest loss was the loss of animal life but they also lost everything else that would have helped them serve the animals in the area in the future. They are rebuilding and once they have a new location, they will need computers, furniture, crates... well, everything!
The Funny Farm Boutique has supported The Humane Society of Durham Region for many years and was compelled to help their Humane Society even more after this tragedy. Until January 31st, 2009, $26.50 will be donat ed for every collar-and-leash-plus-free-name-tag set that is purchased during this time at www.funnyfarmboutique.ca. This means the Humane Society gets money to rebuild and a dog of your choice will receive a one-of-a-kind FFB collar, a free tag holder and one of Courtney's name tags. WOW!
To make this even more impossible to refuse, I asked them to add some fabrics that would appeal to pilots and, boy, you should see what they found! From jets to warbirds to hot air balloons to helicopters, there is a perfect collar and leash waiting for your dog, no matter what you fly. Check out the great fabrics by clicking on “transportation” when you visit www.funnyfarmboutique.ca. Be sure to put "Durham Humane" in the comments box on checkout.
Don’t have a dog of your own? No problem! Funny Farm Boutiques will send e-gifts to your favorite dogs (and their person), telling them that you are buying a collar for them. This "e-gift" is proving to be an excellent and popular way to raise even more funds for the Humane Society. Just send Funny Farm Boutique the name and email address of the lucky canine and their person and then they create an email telling the dog about the gift. Once the dog places his order at www.funnyfarmboutique.ca, your credit card is then charged for the item purchased. What a fun way to let any dog know how much they are loved and appreciated and to raise funds for the Humane Society at the same time.
(Just an FYI on how the donation money is raised. Amazingly, $26.50 goes to the Humane Society for every collar sold, be it a 1" collar that sells for $25 or a 1.5" inch collar that sells for $30. The r eason is that there is a wonderfully generous person named Colleen Anderson who matches the FFB donation of $7.50 for every collar sold, PLUS Colleen will buy one of Courtney's name tags for every collar sold... that is another $4 that goes directly to the Humane Society…PLUS Colleen will donate $7.50 for every name tag sold. So adding all of that up, not only will the Humane Society receive $26.50 per collar, but the person that buys the collar receives a free name tag valued at $4 PLUS a free tag holder from FFB valued at $5, so a total of $9 worth of product absolutely free. For every leash sold, both Colleen and Funny Farm Boutique donate $7.50 each to the fundraiser as well. This is all designed to draw attention to the plight of the Humane Society of Durham Region and the tragedy that befell them just before Christmas. In holding this fundraiser for them, it allows the Funny Farm Boutique to do their part as responsible citizens and pet guardians and, in doing so, help the Humane Society and the animals when they need it the most.)
