Rub-a-Dub-Dub!!!

Remember the new bulletin board I got the other day? Well tonight I altered the magnets and the eraser...now you have to just LOVE these new Rub-ons from Stampin' Up! They make it so easy to alter things quickly and easily.

The colours are off as I tried taking the pic with a flash and the reflection was too bright on the white board..so I took it without a flash and then lightened the picture to a nice buttercup yellow LOL!

I might find a minute to make up a card this evening. Tomorrow is the grind...

Ohh...Lovin' The Rub-Ons!!!

Just before going to bed I was thinking about possible projects for a big event coming up in a few months. I would love to use rub-ons as part of the classes so I looked around to see what I could rub onto! (GROAN..I know! I know! Don't quit my day job)

I have a couple of the little band-aid tins left over so tried that..whadda ya think? It was easy as pie to make this..minutes from start to finish. I'll add a little something else to the lip of the lid but for now I am happy! :-) Wanted to share. I used the sale-a-Bration package which comes in 4 different colours! Cool!

Just wanted to share a link to the on-line store of the lady who taught the bookbinding class.

She had beautiful rubber stamps of her calligraphy art. Plus if you like fun embellishments and altered art items this is the site to go to! She also has this cool Disposable Palette for artists..a pad of paper that you can put your paints on and then tear off and toss when you are finished..great for classes!

Her name is Suzanne Canon and she also has a great newsletter you can sign up for. I think she is also looking for some design team members...so go on over and tell her I sent you.

Fun day playing!

I was so lucky to take a book binding course yesterday with some great people! It's been ages since I made  a book! These girls are talented! We made a book called "Caught in Canvas". Here is a picture of mine.

We painted two 6x6 canvases and then made a book and bound it all together! Mine is very simple, everyone else made very arty collage style book covers. But I love mine and there is still the inside of the canvas "covers" to complete... little nooks for secret messages and found objects! I'll share when I finish it.

Here are a few more of the book and binding details. The photo on the front is my gargoyle from my garden..how cute is he? The twigs I cut off a tree outside the class room LOL!

Hoppy Easter Everyone!

I know they always said that bunnies can multiply at an amazing rate but this is ridiculous! LOL

I am getting ready for my big Easter Egg Hunt and these little guys are part of the goodie bags! This is the second year that I am doing the hunt (we are doing it on Monday) and last year was a blast! We had an Easter Bonnet contest and one of our friends made the most hysterical hat ever...well this year is going to be even funnier...my hubby has stepped up to the plate and you have to see what he has created for his costume (oh yes he has gone beyond just a bonnet now)...I can't post pictures until after the hunt because we don't want the rival bonnet toting men to get any ideas prior to the big event. Monday or Tuesday be sure to check back! LOL You won't want to miss these pictures!

I had a fun day today...I was doing a M&T at the community center for an Easter event for little ones. They made a little Easter card (with help from their parents). I loved the expressions of some of them when they lifted the stamp up and saw the images they had stamped (Bunny hugs bunny). Another cute thing I enjoyed were the dad's stamping with their kids...so cute..they were so sweet with them. I was joking to one man how I bet he never imagined he'd be stamping easter bunnies at the community center! LOL He was having a blast!

Then I came home and on my doorstep was a big box with a card attached!! I had NO idea what it could have been. Then I opened the card and it was from one of my Stampers Club ladies. She said it was a thank you for all the stamps I have cut out for her over the years. She is such a neat lady...keeps truckin' even when she is in pain...she won't give in to the aging process...I so admire her spirit! Here is what I found when I opened the box...isn't this beautiful? I am hoping we will have a little family in it this year! Beth lives in a retirement home and she just loves visiting my garden and thought this little home would fit nicely... I think it is perfect. I'll let you know if we get any renters! Surely one of the gazillion birds in our garden, that eat us out of house and home on a daily basis, will like it?

Doodle Time

I've been doodling today...and lovin' it! I have to say the smaller flower from the Doodle This set is adorable. I feel like I can colour it any and every colour and it just gets better all the time! I have yet to see one done that I don't like.

So I made up my first coaster box and added a little lid to it. The little chick creeped me out a bit..LOL. I put it down beside the box and it walked away! Now this is a chick I got at the dollar store for Easter and it has been in the bag for about a week with it's little siblings. I took it out, nothing, placed it down and it ran away (OK it is a wind up toy...but I did NOT wind it up) ...freakie chickie!

The bunny fortunately stayed put..LOL Aren't these little bunnie chocolates the cutest thing? Some creative soul on SCS came up with them! Can't remember who though. Going to make a bunch for the Easter Egg Hunt on Monday. I decided last year that I want to be the Easter Egg Hunt Auntie...last year I made the cutest bunny cupcakes...now I have to come up with something cute for this years cupcakes...and I think I have it...so I will take a picture and share next week.

This is another little tri-fold card I made up to send to some of my down line to celebrate our 5th anniversary with Stampin' Up! I cannot believe that SU has been a part of my life for 5 years already! Amazing! I love being a part of this wonderful sharing company and "lifestyle". It is the best!

Thats it for tonight! Was watching the Canuck's lose..but it's OK...they are in the playoffs so it's all good! Had to feed my menfolk too! It was on Pay per View so the boys came over to watch with their Dad...I stamp and watch and then stamp some more! Happy Stampin'!Thanks for dropping by!

My friends little girl Emma says the darnedest things..they just crack us up all the time! So when I saw Linda Hansen's "Kids Quote" book done with our On-board 5x5 journal that she demoed at Leadership I knew just who to make one for! You just don't want to forget those precious moments.

This is the cover...thats all I managed to get done this evening...had to feed the hockey fans! I'll post the insides when I get more done ( and the outside as it evolves LOL, I've already distressed it a little since I saw the picture!
