I saw a post this morning about comparisons of White gel pens. In the replies someone asked if any compared White Ink Pads on Textured Black Paper. So I quickly pulled out my two white pads. A brand new (remember my class of 81 kinds..I got a few new pads after that LOL) Stampin' Up! Whisper White Craft pad and a StazonOn White pad...freshly inked
Of the two I found the Craft Pad stayed the whitest. Both showed gray coming through on the textured black card stock. This was when using a solid image. The craft pad won hands down when I used a thiner detailed image.
Here are the pictures...hope you can see the difference.
After it dried a little the Whisper white did gray a little bit but nothing compared to the Stazon. However remember that Stazon can be used for so many other non porous items like glass and tiles etc.things. Both are very necessary in the Craft Room I think :-)
Then I took three pictures of another heart using Whisper White as it dried..just to see how it went as far as shading
Not bad at all I think. Of course you can always emboss it with white embossing powder to get a perfect white if you need it.
What do you think of your white ink pad? Do you have a very favorite? Have you tried it on textured black CS.
Thats my first time doing a comparison...hope you like it?
Sue
