Woo Hoo. I am slowing making progress!
I have taken all the stuff on my shelves down and put back only the things I am going to use..and have them neatly done for the most part. Here are some pictures of the main storage area in my room. OK..is it just me or do those wooden boxes look like faces?? Might have to change them around..that could freak me out LOL!
I have two sets of square hole shelving. I love being able to see everything but I also like it to look neat and it was getting a bit out of control on the lower shelves so I hauled it all out and
rearranged it. The stamp sets and the samplers are as they were before. Here is what my floor looks like at the moment LOL..give a little take a little huh? I won't show you what the dining room looks like :-(
The other side of the room I have a HUGE unit my hubby
built when I had my paper importing business...it is huge and I now have baskets in the paper slots. (I am addicted to these baskets from my local dollar store!! Love them!) The base takes up so much floor space so I am going to get rid of the base part I think...put the top part on the floor further along the wall. Move my computer desk into this space and use it as
my creative spot and get a smaller desk for my computer..or just bite the bullet and get the freakin' laptop already!
I read a blog a few months ago and the person had a revolving inspiration station. So for example...before valentine's day she pulled out all her red and pink and heart/love stuff and then when she wanted to create she went there and got inspired to use all the Valentine stuff. I think I'd like to try that myself so cleared away this spot for that purpose. We'll see if it happens.
Thats about where I am...I would love to hear some ideas on what you demos out there all do with your 3-D things...I almost want to toss the whole box of them and start over. I am definitely going to purge them. I want a clean, clear, inspiring space now. Any and all suggestions are welcomeed and appreciated!!! I am sure there will be some blog candy when this is all finished too! So come back over the next few days!
My reward for all this work? I will get my hubby to put up the racks I bought for my punches...been holding off until I know the new layout of the space before drilling holes etc.
Thanks for stopping by!
Sue
