I went to a scrapbooking crop this weekend..it is a twice yearly habit I am happy to indulge in. My friends form Scrapaholics and others head out to Timberline Ranch on Friday and crop our hearts out until about 3 on Sunday. This time I did have to sleep a little bit as I was driving and had to be sure not to be too tired on the way home LOL.
26 pages completed!!! My most productive crop ever! There must have been something in the water as Iris also completed a full album and Hayley finished her wedding album!
For my scrapbooking I allow myself to use products from other companies other than SU..it is my guilty pleasure and I love it :-) I have a weakness for Prima Flowers. This year is the third year that I tried to make a "memorial" page for my friend's little girl's album..of her Uncle Rod, who passed away a few years ago. On previous years when I took out the photos I would just tear up and couldn't get the pages done. Uncle Rod was the funniest man you will ever met and he adored his little niece so much..and she adored him right back. His passing touched so many lives, he was a teacher, father, husband, uncle, bagpiper extraordinaire and all round comedian. He once won a prize on the radio for the funniest answering machine message in Canada. Their phone would ring all day long with people just wanting to hear the message. LOL
Here is what I came up with, my favourite layout of the weekend..with some guidance from my buddy Iris (thanks Iris)
Love you and Miss you Uncle Rod!!! Hope they like it :-)
here is the beautiful setting of the Ranch..
