and you know what that means...ROOT VEGETABLES!!! I love root veggies...roasted, boiled whatever...they are so good.
Today I was planning on cooking a turkey dinner for DH (aka McIver), myself, G'dad and Mr & Mrs Green. Mr Green got the bug..not the swine bug but he was feeling awful so we canceled dinner and I threw the fresh turkey in the freezer and we bought some Pork tenderloins instead. I had the stuffing made for the bird so used some of that in the loins...and then the rest of the meal is basically my traditional turkey dinner.
Mashed carrots and parsnips with loads of black pepper, Brussel Sprouts, Roasted Potatoes (in duck fat..have you tried that? OMG!!!), gravy...
Don't the Brussel Sprouts look cute in the hot tub?
I like them really crispy so I have the water boiling away and toss them in as I get ready to plate the dinner.
The roasted pork with stuffing....I bring the spice mix back from Ireland...there is no stuffing without Goodall's Mixed Herbs.

Bottle of 2002 Pinot Noir from Blue Mountain Winery here in BC completed the meal. :-)
Tomorrow we are going to Son#2's home for Thanksgiving Dinner...I am making Pumpkin Cheesecake...will post tomorrow..and share the exciting lens choice I make if I have time before going to work in the evening...no wine for me for dinner :-(
