Had my new catty launch today...been waiting for my stamps to arrive and finally they did just the day before yesterday so I had to quickly make up some samples. Not a lot of time to "create" originals so I burfed (blog+surfed) over to one of my downlines blogs and as always she had stunning stuff there. Laura F is an amazing stamper..I love her style and the colour combos she uses. Check out her album of cards for the "Embrace Life" set. I CASED most of them for display today and everyone loved them. I did manage to come up with a couple of my own too or variations on Laura's.
As soon as I saw the little bird in "Always" I knew he would be flying onto my shelves..and this is a card I made last night.
Now with the arrival of this new designer paper another very strange thing has happened..I have FINALLY learned to like (dare I say LOVE) Groovy Guava! YIKES! It is just beautiful in combo with the new paper! That is a "Build a Brad" on the ribbon...I love how you can make custom decorated brads with these little toys...every card maker and scrap booker need then!
Unfortunately I was rushing and the words are a little askew...sorry about that. I really need to use my Stamp-a-ma-Jig more often!
Here are some of the other beautiful cards I cased from Laura...with her permission! (Thanks Laura)
The first is a direct CASE and it is stunning too!
This card is based on Laura's..I changed the shape and added a few more blooms. I absolutely adore this card..the colours, the layout with the little strip that has the words stamped in a row, the blooms double mounted for depth..in real life it is so pretty. The pomegranate and the River Rock DS paper go so well together.
OK..I have an order to put in so better get back to work!
Thank you to all the ladies who came and played and picked up their cattys today...it was great to see you all after being away for the last month!
