Maybe it's because it is an emotional event that requires one that I find them hard to make. I also don't want any mistakes like smudges, bad colouring ... no sloppy work at all. On some cards I am willing to compromise a wee bit but on sympathy cards I try to keep quality control high. This card took me about 6 trys to get it the way I wanted it ... didn't stamp clean, didn't colour well, didn't line up right, on and on..then when the first attempt was just about acceptable..smudged it!
So back to basics...keep my work space cleared, clean my stamps as I go ... take time to measure twice and cut once (maybe twice). So finally I was happy. Here it is.
I made this card using watercolour paper and coloured with our aqua pens and reinkers. The cardstock is Real Red and Daffodil Delight. I used StazOn Jet Black ink to stamp the image to watercolour. This is the best ink for watercolouring as it is not water soluble. The words were stamped in out Basic Black ink which I heat set in my quest for keeping it from smudging! LOL
